Melody Rose climbed off of a boat. She looked back at her brother. He leaned over and gave her a strong but gentle hug. She gave him a meek smile.
"Don't be afraid Melody Rose. I will return to you one day. Until then keep a song in your heart and don't forget me."
Melody Rose smiled at her brother.
"I'd never forget you Sebastian."
Sebastian leaned over and gave his sister a light kiss on the forehead and left in the boat he had used to drop her off. She watched her twin brother speed away. This was the first time they'd be away from each other in their fifteen years of life. Her short shoulder length grayish white hair danced around her face in the wind as she stood on the dock. The reflection in her prefect hazel eyes showed true sorrow. She walked to the end of the dock and place her backpack down and removed her shoes. She was wearing a short yellow sundress that danced around with her hair. She sat down in the sand and stared out across the ocean at the sunset. She began to sing. Her voice was prefect, like that of a true siren(A reference to the Odyssey by Homer. Sirens are said to have a voice that is utterly irresistible and beautiful. This is for those who may not know what I mean.)

Having heard a boat leave the docks he wanders to quietly and catches the end of her song.

Melody Rose stares out across the water. She isn't sure where she is and doesn't move from where she sits.

He begins walking across the docks that make small creaks as he does.

Melody Rose hears these small creaks.
"Who's there?"

my names Victor.

He comes into sight.

Melody looks at him. He's obviously a vampire.
"Hello, I'm Melody Rose."

So what brings you here?

He sits down near her.

Melody Rose looks at him.
"My brother felt I'd be safer here."

Well he's right, the world isn't ready to accept our existence.

Melody Rose looked at Victor.
"I know but I miss him."

Well it's possible that you'll see him again soon.

Melody Rose smiled weakly.
"I hope so."
