Wandering the Halls

Alice was wandering the halls in her usual black shirt and red skirt. Her feet barefoot as usual. Her ears were perked up a bit so she could hear better and her tail just not really moving. It was dark in the room. The only light was that cast from the fire. She was looking for Victor, since he hadn't been in his office.
"That vampire is always going missing on me."
Alice looked around the room, wondering if he was hiding in the shadows as vampires tend to do. She stole in the doorway, scanning.

Walking around pondering his thoughts of the newcomers he took no thought to how loud he was walking.

Alice hears someone walking rather loudly. She turns around and sees Victor.
"Jeez Vic, could you being walking any louder?"

Her voice reminds him that he's not alone here and he begins paying attention again.

Of course I could, what brings you right here?

Alice smiles.
"I'm looking for you, you silly little vampire."

And why would that be?

Alice rolls her eyes.
"Why do you think, Vic?"

He never quite knew how to take relationships for he'd been alive for several hundred years and he'd avoided anything attachments but he had begun to enjoy the company of Alice. He steps to and wraps his arms around her.

Alice smiles at Victor. She'd known him for what felt like forever. Basically since she was twelve. Even though she only looked about 19, she was actually somewhere in her thirties.

So what did you really need me for?

Alice looked at the floor. Victor noticed that sometimes she still acted like she was twelve.
"In all honesty, I got bored."

Well then what shall we do?

Alice smirked.
"I don't knows."

Well we could climb the tower and sit atop it like when we use to when you were younger.

Alice smiles at him.
"Sounds like fun."
Alice enjoyed Victor's company. However, sometimes she got annoyed with the fact that he still sometimes saw her as that little girl still.

They began walking around to a balcony that was adjacent to the basin of the tower.

Alice smiled as they walked.

He wondered what was going on in her head.

Alice do you remember the day I arrived here?

Alice looked up at him.
"Kind of. I mean I was only twelve. You probably remember it better than I do. Anyways, why do you bring it up."
Alice was curious about why he would bring that day up. All she remembered about it was that she had freaked out when her parents told her that someone else would be staying in their house with them.

Well I'd been thinking a lot about my past recently and it was something that came to mind.

They now reached the balcony.

Alice looked out at the view.
"All I remember is throwing that temper tantrum."

Well i suppose you were only twelve at the time.

If Alice were at all human, her face would have been flushed red.
"Well, I wish you'd stop thinking of me as that twelve year girl you meet all those years ago."
Alice looked out at the view of the island.

I try not to but it does happen quite often.

Alice placed her face in her hands. She didn't think he'd ever see her as anything other than that little twelve year old girl he'd met over twenty years ago.
