finding his place

Elizabeth looked at Alice curiously. She thought this girl was strange. The pale skin, rumored of vampires, yet the ears and tail of a wolf.

He looked in the office and quickly said "Well I'm going to look around some more so I'll see you around." he began walking off.

Elizabeth smiles at Alice and Victor.
"I'll come with you."
Elizabeth follows Dexter.

He turned his head half expecting Liz would've stayed and questioned the so called leaders but it didn't bother him he slowed his pace still pondering how any of this was possible.

Elizabeth looked up at Dexter.
"What ya thinkin' bout?"

He took a few more moments to respond.

I was thinking about everything i left behind and how I don't even know how I did it.

Elizabeth looks at him.
"Everyone loses stuff."

Yeah stuff not an entire life to be transported to another time.

Elizabeth looked at him.
"My entire life was burned to the ground in a fire and everyone else I know believes me to be dead."

I get what you're saying but this is so strange just blinking before I fire my rifle and then appearing here in this time.

Elizabeth looks at him.
"I guess that would be weird."

They ascend a staircase that leads them to another hallway but this one is full of windows. He stops in front on one looks out it.

Elizabeth stopped next to him.

It's hard to believe how much the world changed in sixty years.

Elizabeth looked at him.
"You'd know better than me."

I guess I would but the funny thing is I don't know much of anything.

"That would make things difficult."

Yes it does and even more so when you appear in times square holding a rifle that's now aimed at a police officer.

Elizabeth looked at him.
"Wow. That must have sucked."

It didn't suck as much as it panicked me and everyone around me.

"Yeah, that would freak people out."
